About this community

Teaching the Fundamentals of the Human Energy System This teaching lays the groundwork for understanding the body as an energetic system — starting with the channels (meridians) as both a classical map and a living structure that can be felt and worked with directly. From there, we explore pulse diagnosis as a way of listening to the body's internal state, reading not just rhythm but quality, depth, and rhythm as windows into organ health and the movement of Qi. Woven through this is core TCM health theory — Jing, Qi, and Shen; Yin and Yang; the Five Elements; and how imbalance shows up as pattern rather than isolated symptom. This is paired with Medical Qi Gong principles: practical, embodied methods for cultivating, moving, and directing Qi — turning theory into something trainable, not just something read about. Together, these fundamentals give students a working map of the human energy system — how to understand it, how to sense it, and how to begin working with it, whether for clinical practice, personal cultivation, or martial application.

What you’ll get

What I love most is exploring the architecture of Qi — how it's mapped in the classical texts, how it's understood through Chinese medicine terminology like Jing, Qi, and Shen, the channels and the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, and how it's trained and applied through a Medical Qi Gong lens. For me, these three perspectives aren't separate — they're the same underlying structure showing up in a pulse, a posture, and a practice. I will be providing some lessons here to help supplement your understanding and exploration.
