About this course
Yan Shou Gong 延壽功 is a Nei Gong system of the Southern Shaolin tradition, historically transmitted only to the most senior monks of the temple. This course presents its foundation: sets one through six, the ground on which the whole system is built.
Each Yan Shou Gong set condenses the essential practices of the Nei Gong arts into a form that is direct to learn and quick to train. Where many Nei Gong and Qi Gong methods require years before a student feels any benefit, Yan Shou Gong is structured differently, and most practitioners begin to notice its effects relatively soon.
The system develops kinetic energy and the mind — known in the Chinese martial arts as Jin 勁 and Yi 意 — and teaches grounding, rooting, and centering, cultivating a sustained awareness of the body. This work sharpens a practitioner's martial capacity while equally supporting relaxation, composure, and a steadier state of mind.
The instruction across sets one through six suits the martial artist seeking an authentic internal art, and is equally suited to anyone who has been living a busy, overstretched life and now wants to invest in their well-being.
The exercises and training demonstrated in this course are provided for educational and informational purposes only. While traditional practices may support health and well-being, no medical claims or guarantees of results are made. “Great course, I hope there will be courses for all 36 forms available in the future.”
“Llevo unos cuantos videos de este curso, las lecciones están llevadas al pequeño detalle, muy bien explicadas, te enteras de verdad, son muy didácticas. Estoy muy ilusionado, creo que cumplirá mis expectativas.”
“Dive in! The instructors approach is methodical, shows different perspectives, and explains everything at pace where the student can absorb every detail effectively. I’m thankful he is giving others the opportunity to learn this important art in a modern and affordable way!”
“This course is providing me with fundamental base for all other practices that I have been working on. It has unlocked a profound new level for my Tai Ji Sword and painting practice. I'm very grateful for this opportunity to learn while being constrained by work and looking after two children.”
